Where Did Rex’s Passion for Fresh Blends Begin?
Although Rex started his career in tech, he was always drawn to food and flavor. He eventually made the leap into the food and beverage world—an industry he has now been part of for 14 years.
“I have a deep love for food and flavor,” Rex shares. “Bringing simple joys to people’s lives through food is what drives me.”
He vividly remembers his early beginnings at a bustling New York City pop-up restaurant.
“I had no formal training,” he says. “But I peeled enough potatoes and washed enough herbs to make it through that first weekend shift and prove I had earned a spot as an unpaid intern.”
Through hustle, grit, and a natural talent for flavor, Rex rose through the ranks. His career milestones include roles as Chef de Cuisine, Corporate Chef, and R&D Lead at 2- and 3-Michelin-star restaurants. He has also collaborated with some of the best farms in the country.

Not many people know that Rex isn’t a big fan of sugar. “Believe it or not, I’m not much of a sugar fan,” he laughs.
