Dan’s Background and Leadership
Dan joined Team Botrista in July and quickly proved himself as a natural leader. His strong restaurant and operations background comes from roles at Zoup! and Jimmy John’s, where he served as Director of Corporate Operations, Franchise Business Consultant, and Franchise Operations leader. His experience allows him to dive in confidently and support our partners with ease.
What Dan Loves About Botrista
Dan’s favorite part of working at Botrista is the people.
“By far, I love the people that I work with. Everyone is very knowledgeable and intuitive.”
He also enjoys getting to know our partners and building meaningful relationships across the industry.
Career Advice That Shaped Him
One of Dan’s most memorable career lessons came from our CSO, Jason Valentine.
“While Jason and I both were at Zoup!, he told me to always ask questions. Later in my career, I learned it’s not only about asking questions but truly listening to the answers.”
If Dan Weren’t in Food and Beverage…
Dan says he would love to be a pilot or a teacher.
“I think flying is the coolest thing in the world and I love to travel!”
His friends often point out that he naturally has the traits of a teacher.
“I love working with people and I consider myself an includer. I have a passion for teaching and helping others.”
Hobbies and Personal Growth
Dan has recently embraced reading, especially books on business and self-improvement.
“I was never a big reader, but within the last year, I turned that page”—pun intended. 😄
He also enjoys spending time outdoors.
“I’m very interested in landscaping and planting. My dream is to build a nice garden in my backyard.”
Dan’s Support System
Dan says his two go-to people are his wife and his father.
“My wife is a great listener. She tells me what I need to hear, not just what I want to hear.”
He also credits his father for teaching him work ethic from a young age.
“Whenever I need professional advice, he’s the first person I go to.”
Dan feels very fortunate to have a tight-knit and supportive family.
“I have a really close family—both immediate and extended. Everyone is very involved and really supportive!”
