Blending an Inclusive Team: Raising a Cup to Our AAPI Teams

In celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, Botrista takes immense pride in honoring the invaluable contributions of its diverse workforce, with a strong emphasis on uplifting and amplifying the voices of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Founded in Taiwan and led by CEO Sean Hsu, Botrista’s mission is deeply rooted in the rich tapestry of AAPI culture and traditions.

“As a Taiwanese founder, I take great pride in the incredible contributions that the Asian American and Pacific Islander community has made to this nation’s vibrant culture and prosperity”, Hsu said.

“In addition, our team members have contributed so much to our success and quality over the years. Our roots are AAPI.”

“To me, being AAPI means identity, tolerance and evolution”, Phetsamone Sayavong, our in-house beverage specialist said. Phet is responsible for some of Botrista’s craveable craft drink recipes, stating, “It’s easier to connect with someone when you give them something delicious.”

To have such a strong foundation and connection to AAPI cultures allows Botrista to feature high-quality ingredients from diverse locations around the globe. From 7th generation family-owned Matcha farms in Japan, to deliciously ripe yuzu collected in South Korea, the AAPI community has helped us elevate the drink experience at every stage of the process.

“I immediately felt part of an organization that was diverse and inclusive”, Nic Syzdek said. From spending a lot of time on the road as part of our Regional Sales Team, Nic encounters a wide range of diversity in his day-to-day role. He says he enjoys being part of a team that encourages and supports various cultures and their ideas.

“Just look at any team picture, you’ll find some amazing people representing a variety of cultures!”

Botrista’s commitment to the AAPI community extends beyond its workforce. The company actively supports the Taiwanese American Advancement Foundation (TAAF), an organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting the Taiwanese American community through education, leadership development, and cultural preservation.

“I’m proud of Botrista’s recognition and support of organizations like TAAF”, Phet continued. “The more we speak up, the easier it is for people to recognize our value in the world.”

“Our partnership with TAAF is a testament to our unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of AAPI leaders,” explains INSERT. “By investing in their growth and success, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.”

As Botrista continues to revolutionize the beverage industry, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering an environment where AAPI voices are celebrated, respected, and given the platform to thrive. Through its unwavering support for AAPI employees and organizations, Botrista stands as a shining example of how embracing cultural diversity can drive innovation, empower communities, and create a lasting impact on the world around us.
